Alaska + iPhone picture update

with 2 comments

After getting back from LA,  I was busy with my agents and on the search for a manager.   I started to fill up my upcoming week with a few commercials and other gigs.   I get a call about a job in Alaska.   Now, I would normally jump to any job that allows me to travel.   But this job had a few points that I really have to think about, mainly … I would have to stay there for 5 months.  That’s a LONG time in one place, I can’t even stay in NY for 5 months long.  I’d be spending my whole summer there and missing out having a great summer.   But 2010 is about new things and new ventures.  Everyone seems to be telling me to just do it.   They would pay for my travel and housing.  In addition to a nice chunk of change.   Then I thought about all of the possible gigs I would have to turn down and put myself on a HOLD for 5 months.   When I get back I would have to hustle @ 500% to get back to where I am now.

This would be a life changing decision, i’ll have to crack out a bottle of vino and think about this.  Would you leave everything and everyone you know for 5 months and start over?   I felt like I just started my life over late last year.  Everything is going so well, now I’ve hit a fork in the road.  Keep going on the road where everything is going well, or walk into the unknown.?

hmm, end rant

enjoy my random pictures from my phone, its been awhile

Chicken and Rice

with one comment

If you’re from NY then i shouldnt have to say anything else, you dont even have to read this…

But if you’re not from NY, chicken and rice is a Halal chicken stand where they serve, well, chicken and rice.  Lightly seasoned chicken all cut up served over some yellow basmati-ish rice, salad and a few slices of pita.  It’s taste ok, but once you put the secret white sauce on to it, it wakes the chicken up and the party starts!  It’s a secret combination of a special yogurt, a little mayo, maybe a touch of lime and some other stuff.   With some suicidal hot sauce that they also have.  It makes for the perfect meal after a night of partying.

Lines can get up to 30 min long, even if its 10 degrees outside and all of the women are wearing skimpy mini skirts and men are wearing sweaty shirts.  It’s just that good, and for $6 bucks how can you complain.

Head to the corner of 53rd and 6th avenue and try it out yourself, tell me when because ill go too!

Chocolate Overload!

with one comment

So,   My sweet tooth has really been kicking in this week.  I start off with a brownie and klondite bar!   You dont want to know what i had to do to get it.

The next day i picked up some Vosges Dark Chocolate Salt & Bacon.  Wow, its amazing.  I wish i could have a little more bacon in it but it was enough to liven up the chocolate.  The smoked salt and smoked bacon really opens up your palate for that bittersweet chocolate.

Katrina’s words … “”I began experimenting with bacon + chocolate at the tender age of 6, while eating chocolate chip pancakes drenched in Aunt Jemima® syrup, as children often do. Beside my chocolate-laden cakes laid three strips of sizzlin’ bacon, just barely touching a sweet pool of maple syrup. And then, the magic—just a bite of the bacon was too salty and I yearned for the sweet kiss of chocolate and syrup, so I combined the two. In retrospect, perhaps this was a turning point; for on that plate something magical happened, the beginnings of a combination so ethereal and delicious that it would haunt my thoughts until I found the medium to express it—chocolate.”

After that i had some goodole koppers chocolate covered gummy bears! Once you try it, you won’t go back to normal gummies!
